Labor Day Weekend in Marysvale

We were invited to go four wheeling with our neighbor's the Murphy's and Kirkseik's. We were told we were going to Marysvale. We didn't know where that was. Do you? Oh my...let me tell you! It is in the middle of no where! It is about an hour south of Richfield. There is nothing there except a gas station, a cafe and a RV park or two with a million ATV trails. We had a wonderful time and rode over 160 miles on our four wheelers in two and a half days! It was so beautiful. I posted a lot of pictures, but not even half of what we took!

The first day we rode to this amazing waterfall. It was quite a little hike down to the falls, but well worth it!
Chad, Jared, Jon Kirksiek and his son Kyler!
All of the boys on the first stop on the first day. They are already very dirty!
The Murphy's and Kirksiek's took their trailors.
This was the LITTLE cabin that we stayed in. It was about the size of our bedroom. It had one queen bed, and one futon and enough room on the floor for two small children. It was very cozy and served its purpose. We all slept well. The bathrooms and showers were a couple of cabins away!
On the way home one evening we found this train!
We even found some Geo Cash. I thought that was pretty amazing!
Wayne and Konnie Murphy
Crazy Jon Kirksiek jumped in the freezing cold (about 50 degrees) waterfall.
Konnie with all of the kids in front of her trailor. The kids all love Konnie!
The second day we rode up to this reservoir. We had lunch, and watched Konnie do a donut and dump her four wheeler over (she didn't get hurt too badly, but was feeling light headed so Kyle drove her back)
Kyle down by the waterfalls
Landon sitting on the "evil tree"
Kaislyn and Spencer. New found friends!

I made bread

So, we had these ladies come to the Grove Ward and teach us how to make bread in one hour from start to finish. It is amazing! They taught us about 50 different things to do with bread. It isn't great for me, because I really want to lose some weight. If you know me, you know that I can'tturn down chocolate or bread! But, I needed a treat for my preschool openhouse and some bread for our camping trip. Here is what I made! Not to brag, but it was all so yummy!

Strawberry Cream cheese bread twist and a cinnamon and sugar bread twist
Foccasia bread
Garlic bread sticks

Our Soccer Boys...

I am not quite sure what I was thinking, but we have Kyle, Jared and Landon all doing soccer this year. Kyle and Jared are signed up with the North Utah County Soccer League and Landon with the PG league. They all have practice every Wednesday night. They all have games every Saturday. I never thought of myself as a soccer mom, but am feeling the pain of it now. But, the boys love it and it is a riot to watch them.
My three Soccer Boys (Landon wasn't very happy that I was making him take a pic)

Kyle at his first soccer game
Jared at his first game

This is a picture Jared took of Kyle playing his game. It isn't a great picture of Kyle, but I thought it was a beautiful view at his game!

First Day of School

Kyle started fourth grade. He has Mrs. Bailey this year. We have heard that she is very strict, but is an excellent reading teacher. Jared started first grade and has Mrs. Stevenson! Kyle had her in the first grade. We are very excited that Jared has the opportunity to learn from her as well. So far, they both love school. Jared loves eating lunch at school and has had no trouble adjusting to being there all day!

Our Weekend in Cedar City

On August 16th we traveled to Cedar City so that Chad could judge the Miss Iron County Pagent. He agreed to do it, because it gave us the opportunity to see the Trammell's and also a couple of friends from high school. He ended up having a great time and really enjoyed the experience. For those of you that don't know the Trammell's, Chad met them in college. They have always been Chad's second parents.
They have been very good to him and to our little family!

Paul and Dianne Trammell with Chad and Boys
Chad and I with the Trammell's
Kyle with the Trammell's dog Maggie!
Jenny (Trammell's granddaughter) She was my date to the Pagent

Me and the Boys at Cedar Breaks
Chad and the boys at Cedar Breaks
We found a really cool Ice Cave (Yes, it really still had snow and could see our breath)
Chad being escorted out after the pagent. They wouldn't let the anyone near the judges the whole day...not even family!
I thought the judges picked the right girl...they didn't have much to choose from. Unfortunately she was fake from head to toe! Miss Iron County was the girl in the purple dress. She is standing next to last years winner. I wonder who judged that pagent!

August Visiting Teaching...

This month for visiting teaching, my partner and I invited the girls we visit over for lunch! Cindy made yummy chicken and fresh steamed veggies from her garden. She also made homemade rolls and homemade blackberry jam! She is amazing! We also had some fruit and strawberry shortcake for dessert. We had a nice visit. It was a fun way to see our sisters this month! Thanks for coming gals, I really appreciate your friendship!

The last picture in front of the huge shark. Landon couldn't take it anymore!

Pleasant Grove Memorial Pool

We are very lucky to live so close to the PG pool. We have been a few times a week all summer long! The boys all love it and are quite the little swimmers. We all have a really enjoyable time every time that we go!
