Happy Birthday Lisa
My sister in law is having her 30th birhday (her real b-day is the 29th). Adam planned a big surprise party for her. She had a a lot of friends and family there! Adam got her the most beautiful picture of the Savior holding a new born infant. It was so good to see everyone! We had a great time! Happy Birthday Lisa, we love you!
Someone let go of a balloon. Avram was quite concerned about it!
Anyone want to balloon fight? Not Jared!

Kyle Got His Wolf Badge
Kyle earned his wolf badge and a gold and silver arrow on Wednesday June 25th. It is amazing how much the scouts really have to do. I think it is really good for him. He has learned a lot so far. He is excited to be in the Bear Den after he turns 9. Way to go Kyle, we are so proud of you!

My Baby is Three
The Train Cake Disaster
My mother-in-law always makes my kids darling birthday cakes. Well, this year I guess I thought if I made a cute birthday cake I may win the mother of the year award (hee hee, yeah right). So, my good friend has this darling train cake mold. She sent her son to preschool on his birthday with the cutest choo-choo cake. When I saw it I knew that's what I wanted to do for Spencer's birthday. So, I borrowed the cake pan, made the simple recipe and then had to make it three more times. It was a complete disaster! I used a whole dozen eggs and had the oven on all day. Next time I will let my mother-in-law make a cute doggie cake like she offered! What was I thinking? I guess mother of the year is out for me!
This is how the cakes came out of the oven almost every time. One time, every one of them was ruined. What did I do wrong?
I salvaged some of the pieces.
The final choo-choo cake...not that cute, but Spencer loved it!

Fire Hydrant Fun
I am learning to listen to my feelings and following the promptings of the Holy Ghost. When we came home from practicing backing up the boat our house didn't have any water. Our whole cul-de-sac didn't have any water. A while back, I had bought some water jugs that I have been meaning to fill up. Earlier that day I had a feeling to fill up the water jugs, but didn't do it. Luckily we weren't without water for very long. A city worker came and turned on the fire hydrant to fix the problem. He left it on so that the kids could play in the water. They had a blast!!!

Art City Days Parade
Last Saturday the boys and I went to the Art City Days Parade in Springville. My darling nieces Jasmine and Jessica were in the parade for cheerleading. The boys got a ton of candy and we had a fantastic time sitting by Tera, Cloe, My Mom (aka Granny), and several others. Thanks Tera and Mom for saving a great spot in front of Granny's work! After the Parade we went to Granny's house to see her beautiful yard and then to Tera's new house for a barbeque. After the barbeque Tera did my hair and toes. Oh...that is my new "thing"...cute toes! It makes a girl feel so good about herself. Thanks Tera!
Adventure in BattleCreek Canyon
This little hike is just up the road from us. We go on this hike quite often. It is one of our favorite adventures that Chad takes us on. This was the first time we took Maggie. That evening we we saw a bat, a beautiful yellow bird and a huge yellow jackets nest. Chad is so good at remembering the camera and always taking great shots!
