Landon's Dance Recital May 2011
I just had to get this post in as well. Landon took a couple of ballroom dance classes last year. One was called Jitterbugs and the other was called PeeWee Ballroom. He loved it! Absolutely loved it. I had a few technical difficulties with the camera, so I didn't get a good shot of him on stage, but he did a great job. Here are some pics afterwards. I made him a candy bouquet. I didn't sign him for dance again. He is really wanting to try gymnastics, so I am going to look into that! I am so proud of him though. I guess I am making my boys to all of the things that I wish I could have done as a child.

April 2011 Piano Recital
This is another post that is long overdue. This is Kyle and Jared's second Piano Recital. I am so proud of them. They each did a solo and then they did a duet together. They memorized their pieces and did an awesome job. Sister Johnson wanted each student to introduce their piece and then bow afterwards. Jared introduced his piece. But, wouldn't have anything to do with bowing.

Sister Johnson even played a piece. It was very tender. Her husband was sitting right beside her with tears the whole time!

Hawaii April 2011
This Post is LONG overdue. Last April Chad and I took a trip to Hawaii. We feel so blessed to have flight privledges. We can take these fun trips with a huge discount of airfare. If you have not taken a trip with your spouse, DO IT NOW! Leave your kids and DO IT! I will watch your kids for you. Even if you just leave them for a couple of days and stay in a local hotel. Do it! Chad and I have so much fun together. It is so good to remember the reasons why we got married. We try and take a trip with just the two of us once a year. It has helped our marriage grow stronger and I am so thankful that after 15 years of marriage and four children, we still love to be with each other and know how to have fun together!
We couldn't believe we hadn't been to Hawaii until now! We can't wait to go back!

We walked the beach every night and watched the sunset

We drove to the crater (only once) and watched the sunrise...our favorite part of the trip!

Huge Elevation difference. It was COLD up there!

We drove the long road to Hana and saw so many beautiful sights!

On the last day before we went to the airport we drove to the IOA Needle

Here is the Needle

We tried to see every beach in Maui. They were ALL spectacular! I think I was born on the beach! I love it so much. Wish I loved the water as much!

We stayed at a little Hotel The Days Sands Inn right on the beach. Our room was tiny and perfect for us. We didn't spend much time there. We got our beach towels and were ready to go! Hooray!

Of course the flowers in Hawaii are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. The smell is Hawaii is out of this world!

Landon really wanted us to bring him back a coconut. We knew we couldn't, but found a forest full of coconuts that had fallen to the ground. Chad spent a good 1/2 hour opening this coconut. I really wanted to try the milk and raw coconut. I LOVED it!

This was near the end of the road to Hana. Another favorite stop. Black Sands Beach. Absolutely breath taking!

Another stop on the road to Hana. We always seem to find small airports wherever we travel to. Hmmm, I wonder why!

One of our first stops on the Road to Hana. We found this Bamboo Forest. I hadn't ever seen bamboo like that. We hiked in and I was a little freaked out. It got a little dark. Not sure what creatures live in the bamboo forests in Hawaii.

On the airplane ride home. We always take a picture on our way home. I think we look a little more in love...
