Cascade Springs 4 Wheeler Ride

On Wednesday, we took a 4 wheeler ride to Cascade Springs in American Fork Canyon. This is the longest family ride that we have ever been on. Our total round trip was 4 hours. The kids did great! We had a great time together. We even saw a moose on the way there. Cascade Springs is fantastic. It is so beautiful. You can get there by car, so if you are near the American Fork Canyon, you should take a drive up there.

Twin Falls Air Show

Kyle and Chad flew with Chad's two friends Jon and Eric to the Twin Falls air show. They got to see the blue angels fly and several other fun things. They had a fun time considering they both had the stomach flu and had to sit out in the hot sun all day!

On their way to Twin Falls. Kyle is already looking a little sick...poor kid
Chad in the back seat! He had fun, but I would have rather had him flying the plane! Eric and Jon did great though!

Random Shots for July

Landon started Soccer
Spencer had his 3 year old check up and had to get one shot
We baby sat (puppy sat) Calvin's dog Dexter. My boys loved having him here!
We went to the skate park. I am afraid I have another Extreme Sport Junky!

Swim Lessons

I hired a girl in my ward to give Kyle and Jared private swim lessons this year. They loved it! Kyle is a pretty good little diver and Jared is a little fish and loves to jump off of the diving board!

Fun at Mapleton City Days

We have been going to Mapleton City Days since I taught in Mapleton. We have been lucky the last couple of years to have my mom living there. We watched their little parade and then went to the park where Grandma supplied the kids with endless tickets to play all of the little booth games. Grandma also provided lunch for all of us! Thanks Mom! We had a great time!

Happy Birthday Kyle, Joslyn and Cloe!

We had a little Prestwich family party for the kids who have birthday's in July. It was at Nelson's Grove Park (I think that is the name) in Orem. It is a really fun park! The kids had a blast playing in the water fountain

Turn Your Blog Into A Book

I have been wondering if it is possible to transfer your blog into a book or scrapbook. My cousin Rebecca found a site that can do it.
It is...http://www.blurb.com
I haven't tried it YET, but will sometime soon. Thanks Rebecca!

Our Yellowstone Adventures

Every year at this time we go to Island Park near West Yellowstone. Chad's extended family on the Slocum side has been going up for years and we have followed suit for the last 5 or so years. Chad's parents are always there and we were fortunate to have his brother Steve there with his wife and three kids. Chad's Aunt Ginnie and Grandma from California also came. This year was especially fun for us. We took my niece Jessica along and also invited our good friends Randall and Sharee! It was a very memorable year! Make sure to check out the archive. I posted too much to fit on this first page!

Uh Oh...the cabin had a game cube. The boys found that right away and dubbed that room. Too bad we had so many fun things planned that they didn't get to play very much!
Our Cozy Cabin...we'll never go back to a trailor (at least I won't)

Good Friends and Good Times

We always have a great time with the Slocum clan at Island Park. This year we were very fortunate to have good friends with us as well. On Sunday we got together with some friends from college that now reside in Las Vegas. They happened to be on vacation in Yellowstone at the same time. It was so fun to see Spencer and Nicole and their three children Dallin, Sadie and Lauryn! Thanks for spending the evening with us! The next day Randall and Sharee came with their five children, Paris, Willow, Skye, Star and Bronson. They shared our Cozy Cabin with us for the week. Thanks Randall and Sharee for making the week so delightful. Thank you for sharing your beautiful daughters and sweet little baby boy with us. They are amazing children. Thanks for sharing your food and thanks for sharing our ups and downs with us (you know what I mean). You are amazing friends whom we love very much!

Anyone Want to Feed The Bears?

On our first full day (Monday the 6th), we took the kids to a Bear and Wolf Habitat. We saw some pretty huge bears and really hungry wolves. We signed the kids up to feed the bears. They were called "keeper kids". They removed the bears from their habitat and then let the children in. They gave each child a bucket of food and instructed them to hide the food under rocks and stumps and in holes. Then they let the kids out and the bears in. It was really neat to see the bears hunt for their food.

Four Wheeling with the Grandma's

This year Kyle finally talked Grandma Julie into a four wheeler ride. Grandma Parisotto (Julie's mom) decided to give a try as well! Kyle was so proud of himself. We were proud of him too! Thanks Grandma's for letting him give you a ride!
