Playing Catch Up Again...

I have needed to post for a long time. We have been very busy making some fun family memories. In the Spring our elementary school always has a dance festival. This year Jared's sixth grade did their dance to Michael Jackson's Thriller. It was really fun to watch. 

Landon did the Boot Scooting Boogie and dressed up like a cowboy. Spencer danced to Footloose and wore some fancy colorful socks. 

I always enjoy the dance festival. It's fun to watch my kids as will as their friends and little neighbor kids! 

Getting Caught Up

So, these pictures are all over the place. I can't figure out how to move them around. So, Chad had an overnight near his mom Judith. He was able to spend one evening with them and also see his twin brother Jason. Our elementary school adopted a new art program this year. They learned about famous artists and even tried to paint a replica of their most famous paintings. One night in April, the school had an art show. Jared's is the Starry Night and Landon's is the other painting. The boys got new haircuts. I talked Kyle into shaving his long locks and all of them got a "disconnected" part haircut. I think they all look adorable. Even Chad. Landon studied Utah History in the fourth grade. The whole grade put on a program and sang a lot of cheesy songs about Utah and the pioneers. He took a picture with his two best friends, Derek Sanderson and Zachary Cutler. They also went to the "This is the Place" state park and had a great time. Our family picture was taken on Easter Sunday. The boys always get a new Easter tie and we always take a picture of just the boys on the couch. Pretty soon, they won't all fit on the couch. They are going up way too fast!

Hunter Hayes Concert

We were very excited that Hunter Hayes came to the UVU Events Center in April. We all love Hunter Hayes. We always get to make some awesome memories at his concerts. He is so talented. I am always so impressed by him. He plays every instrument on stage, writes all of his own songs and is the master mind behind his set. We are very thankful to Digger (his tour manager and our good family friend) for hooking us up with VIP tickets. He not only hooked us up, but he was also able to get our niece Joslyn backstage as well as some girl in my ward that are absolutely obsessed with him. It was so fun to watch their excitement when they met him backstage. We were able to get them passes for the meet and greet before the concert and then after the concert we were invited on their tour bus. That was a special treat, especially for the girls in my ward. Nothing like Bragging rights! <

Rugby Season 2014

Kyle is playing Rugby again this year. I have grown to love watching Rugby. There is Constant motion. 

Pinewood Derby

We can check off another pinewood Derby off our long list of pinewood derby races. Poor Chad. I have come to loathe the derby. Chad and I have been in cub scouts since Jared was a wolf. He has had to make more pinewood derby cars than we can count. He finds new ways to be creative every year. Neither of the boys won the fastest car, but they didn't ever come in last either. Landon's car was a sleek black one, which we thought would be faster than Spencer's truck. But sadly it wasn't. It's a lot of pressure for a dad, and a lot of pressure for the leaders. Leaders have to make sure it's fair and everyone is happy. That's hard with crazy parents and grandparents there watching. I think we were overall successful this year. 

Easter

Easter is very low key at our house. The boys get a basket and usually a new tie and their new swim suit for the season. This year we had Willow come and stay with us. I didn't get pictures. Our neighborhood has a egg hunt and a brunch afterwards. It was the highlight and really fun!

New Haircuts

The boys got some rocking new haircuts. Kyle has decided he wants his done too. I am going to take him back this week. Kyle got his braces off. He looks so handsome. I was hoping it would solve his canker issues, but he just got a huge one. He loves having them off.
