August 2017

INDIGO GIRLS AND TRADITIONS My cousin Rebecca and I have a tradition of seein the Indigo Girls in concert every year. This year was extra special because we flew to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The city was seemed extra clean and extra beautiful. It was so lovely and beautiful and relaxing and fun. Rebecca and I always have such a great time together.
Summer Temple Baptisms- This summer, I committed that I would take the Young Women to the temple once a week. I loved taking the Young Women, but also wanted to make sure my own YM, the most important youth to me had an opportunity to go as well. I love the temple and the feeling of peace that I receive at the temple. I hope that my children will always remember the peace that we recieve when we attend the temple and help those beyond the veil.
Shopping for Wedding Dresses with Secca Do... When Jessica came out in this dress, it brought tears to my eyes. She looked so pretty in this dress.
Summer Flowers and Car Shows I always love getting my flowers for my containers for Mother's day and watching them grow throughout the summer. This summer Chad has been trying to sell Kenny and Judith's Beautiful Blue Hot Rods. It's been fun to go to the car shows and see this world of people.
Soccer and Hiking I don't think I will ever get sick of watching my boys play soccer. I love being outside with them and watching them succeed and sometimes fail at a sport that they love. Landon joined a Utah Valley Untited Club team this year. It has challenged him atheletically, but I can also see his growth in the sport and his growth as a goalie. Spencer continues to crush it with the Crush team. We have grown to love the coaches and parents on this team. I hope they can stay together all through HS. Landon and his friends hiked the G and Chad is always such a great dad to go on all of the camping trips with our boys and the scouts.
Sundance Each of the boys had a Sundance Pass this year. They can ride their bikes down hill in the summer. We decided to go up. Jared wasn't really feeling like riding his Mtn Bike, so we bought me a chair lift. He and I rode to the top and got Nachos. I was pretty nervous at first, but in the end I was able to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. I love that my children get to see the beautiful mountains that God created for our enjoyment. I love that they they love to do things that test their limits and abilities and I love that they enjoy being together for the most part.
First Day of School- I can't believe that it is already time to go back to school. Jared is a sophomore this year. The big 10th grade. It seems unreal to me. He should have a tough year ahead of him. AP Biolgy and Physics. Landon is in 8th grade and on Student Council. Spencer is in the 7th grade and his first year in Junior High. It's so crazy to me that all of the boys are done with Elementary School. Time goes by too quickly. Jared got his "new" little trucky. He bought it from Uncle Steve. Steve has taken very good care of it, and been able to do all of the mechanical work on it. So, we feel pretty great about it.
And Just Randomness.. Kyle and Spencer on their Motorcycles. Landon had to get a root canal done and had laughing gas and it literally made him laugh.
