After the dance recital. I made him a candy bar bouquet! Most girls get flowers, I didn't think he would like them as much as candy!

For the last year, I think about food storage daily. I know that it is so important, but it overwhelms me, so I don't do it! I don't know where to start and that overwhelm's me. How could I possibly get enough food for my family to eat for two years, I can barely make it for a week! I decided to google food storage and came across this blog. dealstomeals.blogspot.com

Pinewood Derby 2010

This year was Jared's first year at the pinewood derby, it was also Kyle's last year. The boys both picked out the style of their cars and were very excited about them. Neither of them placed, but Jared got the award for the car that looked most like a racecar and Kyle got the award for best paint job. I was very proud of both boys. Their cars were actually quite slow, and they both were very good sports! I think we may have to buy the huge book that tells all of the secrets of the pinewood derby!

We were so excited to see Julianne in concert! We had a great time hanging out with Sharee and the girls and meeting Julianne. Julianne is an amazing performer! We were not so excited to see Sugarland, but were very pleasantly surprised! Sugarland was awesome, and we are now fans!

Jared's Special Day

Jared was baptized on May 1, 2010! He had such an amazing day! He was so excited, he kept saying that he felt like he had a rhinoceros in his stomach instead of butterflies. Chad baptized and confirmed him and my brothers Adam and Calvin were witnesses. After the baptism we went over to the church for a luncheon. We are so thankful for everyone who came or offered support.

Jared's Baptism

Jared's baptism is on May 1st at 10:00AM at the Pleasant Grove Stake Center. We will be having a luncheon at our house afterwards! Let me know if you need directions. Jared is super excited! I think he looks so cute in his little suit! He was a riot while we were taking the pictures. He would make a dorky face and sound and make us all laugh including himself and then smile the cutest smiles! My friend Sandy Blackhurst took the pictures! They all turned out great! Thanks Sandy!

It's Great to be Eight!!!

It's great to be 8! Jared's Birthday was March 29th! He turned 8, and is very excited to be baptized. His Baptism will be on May 1st at 10:00. We will have a luncheon at our house afterwards! Here are eight things I love about Jared...
1. He has a great sense of humor, he is funny and gets our inside jokes
2. He still like to snuggle with his mom
3. He only likes eggs for breakfast...his favorite is breakfast burritos
4. He is cautious about trying new things, but always tries...
5. He loves, loves, loves his video games
6. He is very loyal to his friends and sets a good example at school
7. He helps Landon learn to read
8. He is sensitive and kind

Jared wouldn't really even tell us what he wanted for his birthday. He got a rocket kit, a bop-it game, a bakugan set and a ATM piggy bank, and a whole lot of cash from everyone else!
