November 2015

Spencer and Madison Erekson partnered up to do the 5th grade science fair. They did it on calcium and bones. It was so awesome they made it to the district science fair.
Kyle got asked to Sadie Hawkins his first dance. He didn't know the girl, but she was very nice and they had a great time.
Landon loved these glasses that he borrowed for Halloween. I think he looks quite dapper as well.
Cousin time is always fun. They had a great time playing with play dough. Landon painted this awesome art work. He worked really hard on it!
Jared has loved playing the Sax this year, and he got to go to this Awesome concert with his friend. Chad and I also went to see the Transiberian Orchestra. It was a really great concert!

Kenneth Birrell

On the same day that my Grandmother passed away we found out that Chad's step father Kenny had brain cancer. From the moment his doctor's diagnosed him, they didn't give them very much hope. Chad spent several weeks in Vancouver as he was in the hospital. They week before he passed away Chad was there. He was home from the hospital, Chad was able to take him on a drive to see some friends. The next week, he went down hill, lost control of his legs and they had to put him in a hospice hospital where he passed away a few short days later. Cancer took him way too fast and it was very sad for us. Our family is very thankful for Kenny. He took very good care of Judith and loved her for who she is. We feel like he brought Judith back to our family and helped her keep in contact with us again. He was kind, and loving and thoughtful and surely loved family. He had a memory like no other, and it was sad for Chad to see him confused when the cancer took over his brain. He loved old cars, and this is a picture of just two of the classic cars that he had restored. We miss him dearly and will forever be grateful for him in our life.

Fall Fun 2015

The Deacons go to Topaz Mountain every year. Chad got to join them this year. They were well prepared with their huge army tent! Spencer got asked to be on an indoor soccer team. He loved playing indoors and it really helped his skills. The boys and I planted a pumpkin patch. We had great intentions of selling them and making a big profit on them. It didn't work. We hardly sold any. The boys each made about 20 bucks, but that was about how much I bought the plants for, so I don't think we will be doing that again. We watched my mom's dog Max while she had knee surgery. We all agreed that we don't like small dogs. Spencer helped me make apple sauce and had so much fun with the Apple Slicer. I am going to be so sad when he doesn't want to help with things like that anymore. Chad and I went to Palm Springs for Spring Break. We rented a car and went on a little hike. It was a great get away.

October 2015-More Fun

Everyone knows that Halloween is my favorite holiday. It's quite ironic that it is my favorite holiday, because I don't like scary things. I hate scary movies and you wouldn't catch me dead at a "real" haunted house. But, I love that we can dress up and be someone else for a day. Everyone knows that I LOVE candy, and I love to knock on doors with my kids and see everyone's decorations and how much fun they have with it. I especially love that there is no gift giving involved! This year Jared was a wounded Rugby player. Landon was Clark Kent, and quite a handsome one I must say. Spencer was a missionary with his friend Camden Bayles. They came up with that one on their own and I thought it was just darling! We went trick or treating in Lindon with some of Landon and Spencer's friends and also made it to a pretty scary haunted house. It was a really fun great night!
