November "Movember" 2013

November was also "Movember" for us. Movember is the month where Men grow mustaches to raise awareness for testicular cancer. We don't know anyone with it, but our Elder's quorum offered a challenge to all of the Elder's in the ward to grow facial hair this month. They also said, that for each minute you saved while not shaving to add that many minutes on scripture study. I don't think Chad really did that, but he did gain a new awareness for people who look "different". He felt like everyone looked/stared at him. Several people he worked with, expressed that they couldn't even look at him because they thought that he looked ridiculous. We talked about it a lot and it really made us realize how much we judge others by the way they look. I just went back and noticed that I already posted a couple of other pictures of his mustache. It was a very enlightening experience for Chad. Hopefully, they do it again next year, and he will also include his Book of Mormon study in on it. Chad and his two friends went skiing in November. They are crazy! The water temperature was only 47. They had shorty wet suits on. Not enough to keep them warm. The water looked amazing! Love how you can see their reflection in the water. Landon entered a wrestling tournament here at the PG High School and did quite well. He won 3 out of 4 of his matches. Spencer also entered. He lost all of his matches, but we were proud of him for trying and know that he will only get better with time! Kyle has been in percussion since the 7th grade. He loves it, loves his band teacher and loves his friends in band. I love it too. This was at his November Jazz band concert. We laughed at how hard he was concentrating. You could see his lips moving counting every beat! I loved his mullet too. He cut it off a couple of days after the concert. Boo. I loved it!
